Morgan Freeman: ‘Black History Month Is An Insult’

Now that we are fairly into February, a clip of Morgan Freeman criticizing “Black History Month” is once again making the rounds and, once again, he’s right. Black history month is an insult, and not just to blacks.

First, let’s get into what the famed actor said of Black History Month back in 2005.

Freeman appeared on 60 Minutes and told Mike Wallace that he is not a fan of Black History Month. Not a fan at all. Indeed, he called the whole idea “ridiculous.”

“You’re going to relegate my history to a month?” Freeman asked Wallace. “What do you do with yours? Which month is White History Month?”

Absurdly, Wallace explains that he is Jewish, so, apparently he doesn’t care about any white history month, not that this was Freeman’s point at all.

Freeman then went on to tell the thick-headed, left-wing “reporter” that maybe he would want a Jewish history month, then? The obtuse Wallace said he would not.

“Oh, why not? Why not? You don’t want one? I don’t either,” Freeman asks. “I don’t want a Black History Month. Black history is American history.”

“How are we going to get rid of racism?” Wallace replied.

“Stop talking about it. I’m going to stop calling you a white man,” Freeman explains. “And I’m going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman. You wouldn’t say, ‘Well, I know this white guy named Mike Wallace.’ You know what I’m sayin’?”
