Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP) and Disaster Responder Program

In times of disaster, help can’t wait. The American Red Cross responds to more than 60,000 disasters of all sizes each year — providing safe shelter, hot meals, emotional support and resources to aid in recovery. Whether an emergency harms two people or 2 million, we must be ready to help immediately, every day in communities across the country.

Members of our Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP) and Disaster Responder Program power this readiness. They are an elite group of forward-thinking companies and organizations that understand that the Red Cross must have critical systems and supplies in place before the first emergency shelter is opened, before the first volunteer arrives and before the first meal is served. This pre-investment in Disaster Relief ensures our tens of thousands of Red Cross workers — 90% of them volunteers — have the know-how, equipment and technology to turn heartbreak into hope and stand with disaster survivors as they rebuild their lives. This advance support also allows us to provide people and communities with the knowledge and resources they need to face emergencies of all kinds, before they happen.

With disasters becoming more frequent and intense, these vital partnerships are more important than ever. The Red Cross thanks these donors for their year-round contributions that power our work and help us meet the urgent needs of disaster survivors.
