’60 Minutes’ Makes Most Ridiculous Claim Ever Regarding Caitlin Clark And WNBA’s Skyrocketing Popularity

by Andrew Powell at dailycaller.com

This is the nonsense making “Big Brother” come on so late?

Let’s keep it a complete bean, ladies and gentlemen: The reason the WNBA is getting so popular is because of Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark. There’s no ‘ifs, ands or buts’ about it. The television ratings, the amount of revenue brought in, the tickets that have been sold, the strong majority of it is because of “The Caitlin Clark Effect.”

But if you ask CBS, they’ll tell you some utter nonsense from an alternate reality.

During the most recent episode of “60 Minutes,” which aired Sunday night, correspondent Jon Wertheim held interviews with Clark and multiple other players in the WNBA. And during so, he stated that while Clark is the Rookie of the Year, she isn’t the breakthrough star of the season — that would be the league itself. (Yes, the same league that nobody would give a damn about if it wasn’t for Clark)

“The real breakthrough star this season is the league itself,” said Wertheim.
