Nearly 1 Million Without Power in Houston, Windows Blown Out of Skyscrapers


DEVELOPING STORY: Nearly 1 million customers are without power in Houston after powerful storms roared through the city blowing out hundreds of windows from downtown skyscrapers. Winds gusted as high as 110 mph – causing significant damage. A number of transmission lines were completely destroyed – meaning the power grid may be off line for a significant amount of time.
