Terrorism in Jakarta: Explosions, Gunfire Rock the Capital | Truth Revolt

The Indonesian capital Jakarta has been hit by a series of explosions and gun battles on the streets, according to the BBC. The blasts were centered on a major shopping and business district close to foreign embassies and the United Nations offices. At least one of the blasts hit a Starbucks cafe and a police security post. A UN official, Jeremy Douglas, told the BBC he was about 450ft away from one of the first blasts near the UN's building:

Police initially thought there could be as many as 14 assailants, but five suspected attackers were among at least seven people killed, and three more attackers have been arrested. National Police Deputy Chief Commander Gen Budi Gunawan said two of the gunmen had been killed in a shootout outside a theater and two others blew themselves up at the police post in front of the Starbucks.
